Professionally, here’s the tea.
I have been living and working in Los Angeles, California since March 2019. Enjoying the sun with my sweet, gorgeous, rescued American Bulldog/Staffordshire mix. We love it out here!
I’m working on an awesome product in the streaming AVOD space called PlutoTV with the role, Senior Technical Program Manager of the Revenue team. I’m tasked to help my team and the rest of the organization navigate its program goals, team collaboration, value delivery, and process improvement. In this capacity, I have direct impact in the success of our Revenue systems thus enabling this product to deliver free entertainment to the planet.
Meanwhile, I’m interested in engaging others who have a deep interest in learning about the Agile mindset, Lean Startup, Design sprints, Open Space, Mob Programming, and Dual Track development. I regularly attend and speak at Agile conferences to grow my knowledge and skills around these subject matters. Heck, if you’ve ever been to one and/or planning to go to one, hit me up on Twitter.
I believe I differentiate myself by taking a modern and agnostic approach to agility even though I am certified in industry-known frameworks like Scrum and the Scaled Agile Framework. My foremost adherence is to the values and principles articulated in the Agile Manifesto.
Does all of this sound foreign to you? You know, don’t hesitate to reach out.
In case you’re curious about what my Agile certifications are:
SPC5, PMPO, SSM, SP, SA, CSM, CSPO. Good lord, that’s a mouthful.
I’m also deeply invested in the Agile community and promoting diversity and inclusion in it through my active participation and mentorship of others with diverse backgrounds. The reality of the tech industry at present is that it is a highly cis-gender male-dominated field and I advocate in shedding light to the issue however way I can.
Lately, a great deal of my free time is spent reading, meditating, learning, and listening to audiobooks. Currently reading In Love With the World: A Monk’s Journey Through the Bardos of Living and Dying by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche.
